I was able to come in and have a review and x-ray by Dr. Hickman on both my knees which he replaced in 2013. I had an injury to my left knee and he evaluated it and found that the plastic post in my left knee was broken and needed to be replaced, he set me up with an appointment quickly and he will be replacing The broken part. I was thrilled to be able to get a correct evaluation from him today. My concerns and questions were answered in a way that I could totally understand. Staff is excellent as well. So professional and friendly.

Struggling with excrutiating SI, and radiating hip pain for over a year I went to see Dr. Hickman. I have done months of PT and Chiro and the pain continues. I was given xrays at his office. Then saw Dr. Hickman for about 5 minutes. He looked briefly at the xrays and said I didn't need any surgery which I wasn't expecting anyway. I am having so much pain and I was looking for answers to help that. Isn't that what orthopedic doctors are for? He didn't hear my concerns or evaluate the SI issue. They are so quick to get you from the foyer to your room. They don’t rush you through your visit and really listen.
Alway cammunicated about everuthing nice also
Lots of talking at me. Not much listening. After recommending a diagnostic injection as a way to diagnose whether the cause of my pain was coming from my hip he said he didn’t know what his next step in treatment would be. He became argumentative when I asked what might be the treatment options as a way to help me determine if the diagnostic injection was even worth it. He went on to say “we don’t deal with what ifs” and then touted something about an article he wrote “15 years ago and published in a major journal”. May be a... read more
