Terrible customer service. I waited one hour to speak to someone over the phone due to an error on there behalf. After waiting for an hour the young lady told me she could not help me and hung up the phone before I can even explain. I do not recommend this rental car company!!!

I had the worst experience with this Hertz location. I was in a car wreck and need a car. My insurance company made a reservation through this location. I called to see if they had any cars available. They told me at 4-4:30 there would be returns and call back around that time. I had to take off from work just so I could try to get a car.I called back and the salesperson Edmond told me that he had two cars available but he couldn't rent them out because they had expired tags. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM HERE AGAIN! THEY ARE A SCAM! They want you to have a credit card for reasons not good for customers. I rented a vehicle from 5/8 to 5/9. The estimated price was supposed to been around $430. About a week later after I return the rental, I look at my credit card statement to see pending charges for $ 1000!!! I'd like to share my most recent experience with the hertz in butler pa located at ***** automotive on Rt 8. First and foremost I'd like to share that I have been a hertz member for years and will not rent from anyone else because of the exceptional service hertz had offered me. Well needless to say the experience I had in May was by far the worst service that Hertz had ever given me. I rented a rouge or similar for 8 days. FIRST & LAST TIME WITH THIS. ALL 4/20 FRIENDLY PEOPLE PLEASE READ. I recently rented a nice car from this location for a fare price. I love marijuana and def hit all the dispensaries. I knew if I smoked in the car I'd get charged so I had my group including myself simply roll inside the vehicle & then step out to smoke. I made a reservation on line. When I arrived there were no cars available at this location or any other locations in the city. The staff called other locations but did not talk to anyone. Their suggestion was to wait behind other customers until a car was returned. This was an hour before they closed at noon. Meaning, 4 cars had to be returned in an hour, processed, and cleaned before one would be available for me. I paid in advance and could not be given a refund at the store. Made reservation 3 weeks in advance, they call me 1 hour before pick up time and tell me there's nothing available. Vacation ruined, thanks Hertz, now jumping through hoops to get my money back that I prepaid. Never again Hertz...

Renter be beware of Hertz's practice of lying about the fuel gauge to stiff the renter with a predatory $190 Fuel & Service penalty!!! We will never rent from Hertz again. The details: We topped off the tank not 10 miles from the airport. At the rental return facility there were rows of returned cars, but no attendant nearby. Took 5000 rewards points away when I wasn't able to rent due to the pandemic and now not giving any back or working with loyal members. Enterprise here I come. Unbelievable what you have done. No wonder you are either BK or just missed. Incompetence in the Rewards c/s unable to understand a **** thing they say and bounced from one to another.
