I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent rental experience at the LAX airport location. As a gold Hertz member, I expected a seamless and hassle-free rental experience, but unfortunately, that was far from the reality. The car I rented was dirty, had no fuel, and there were limited options available. I was also overcharged for fuel despite being promised I wouldn't have to pay. Rented a car at Hertz.com on 4/16/23 for the week of 4-20 thru 4-27 prepaid with a confirmation number. 3 days later and less than 24 hours from trip planned rep. from hertz location calls me and tells me they are all out of cars due to a corporate need. I thought it was a prank. On top of that he tells me that the onus is on me to call some phone number to cancel the prepaid charge. .....unacceptable customer service and disgraceful. I can't begin to tell you how this has negatively impacted me.<br />
They charged 2 credit card at same time with same amount and refuse to take back one charge, customer service is below average.Its 4/19/2023 and card was charged on 3/19/2023. Customer service sucks.<br /> <br /> <br />
Was told they had no cars available for insurance loaners 2 days after my reservation was confirmed. They finally found one but insisted on charging me for a full day, even tho they didn't have it till almost 5pm. They were unapologetic about it and made me feel like a second class citizen because I wasn't paying for it out of my own pocket. I will NEVER use them when I need to rent a car for myself.
I was sideswiped by someone in a Hertz rental car and I have dash cam video in the State Police statement and I can't get hurts to even assign an adjuster to it they just keep blowing me off. Going to have to hire an attorney they are the worst company ever. Very unprofessional
Hertz took my reservation for an agreed price and type of vehicle. Upon picking up my vehicle, I was told that there is a $100 upcharge due to the only types of vehicle available are "luxury" vehicles. I was stuck either an electric vehicle (which I didn't reserve - I specifically picked a gas vehicle for my reservation), without a car, or a pricier car that I did not reserve. Most difficult company to work with as no way to reach a live person by phone and I’m a hold card member. I’m trying to put my new Credit Card # into my account but am unable to access my account through the Hertz APP after trying 100+ times. Because I can’t access my online account through the Hertz App, I always have to check in at the counter instead of having my car waiting. All the other reviews are right, I just wish we had read them sooner ! This place is absolutely awful. Stay away at all costs unless you want to see just how terrible renting a car can be. Shocked that they are still in business.
Absolutely terrible. We were supposed to have a vehicle ready by 4PM, as stated in a phone call that I received at 11. Called multiple times and the answer was always the same were waiting on cars and then theyd hang up on us. Hertz is a joke. Oh and they put insurance related situations at the top of the priority list. Pfffft. Oh but we could drive an hour and sit there if we wanted to in case there was a drop off.
