The manager of Hertz Peabody is unprofessional and disrespectful. I have been a gold plus member for years and never treated with such arrogance, verbal disrespect by any manager of this company before him. I rented a car through Thrifty for May 11-May 19, 2023 for pick up at the Reno Airport on May 11. 0 stars. Rented a Tesla on 6/2/22 through Uber so I had to go to a specific rental site that is 40 miles away (not the problem at all). Had a reservation, told they had no cars, which turned out to be a consistent problem (not for me) for renters as reservation means nothing. Car showed up, I was content. Car rented at Lexington,ky, bluegrass airport. My car was stolen. I called the police and a police report was filed. I called the hertz 1-800 number to report the theft. Of course I couldn’t talk to a person and there was no option to report theft. I tried the hertz website and again there was no option to report theft. I booked car rental on priceline on 7th May at 1030pm.. i called priceline the next day at 1pm to change the driver. they told me i need to call hertz. when i called hertz they tolde to call uber local office. i had 24 hrs to cancel. i didnt receive any email or text stating ny rental. I recently rented a car from the Hertz counter at the ****** Airport to have a car from 4/20/23 - 4/24/23. When I returned home I saw an additional charge on my card for more than my original charge. When I looked at the invoice that they emailed me I saw 3 charges that were not familiar. Just WoW! Worst treatment ever from a car rental. We called from DFW airport to make sure someone would be at Memphis airport Hertz counter at our arrival at 10:20pm … they assured us that they would be open until 11pm and yes… our car would be there. I used them once and will not be a returning customer and I advise you to do the same. this company is clearly running a scam. I used their services in 2022 to have while on vacation for my mom's bday. I had an issue from the very start with the agent. I should have known right then to go to another company.
