I drive and rented a car for uber..I have had it for seven weeks paid over 2100...I call their **** to check in on my rental and extending weekly...why are they still calling me like the car is missing the robocalls need to stop...I tell them when I am going to pay for the extension during the week still get threatening calls..as a uber driver I'm tracked, get that straightened out please..it's aburd

Booked a car online and received a confirmation number. The following day I walked in 90 degree heat to hear reservation was cancelled by corporate. No notification was given to me. Super disappointing and now I miss a very important meeting. Way to go Hertz. Stop taking reservations for cars if you dont have them. Not too difficult to figure out. Avoid Hertz.

Lousy rental agency Car reeked of smoke even after calling several times to ensure that wouldnt happen Then after filling up the tank and returning the car in better condition than when I received it they put a charge on my credit card No explanation or invoice at all Disreputable compa y

Do NOT rent a car from Hertz! I reserved a 7 passenger SUV with them and paid for the rental 3 months prior to the rental. I received confirmation texts up until 1 hour prior to picking up the car when they sent another text stating they did not have the car I reserved. No other could be found. Multiple customer service representatives put me on hold and then disconnected the phone. The local branch where I was to pick up the car basically stated that there was nothing they could do. I booked and paid my car rental weeks in advance only to find out the Hertz location that was supposed to have my car has been closed for over a year now!! Now I'm out of a Car that I planned to take so I could attend a family members Wedding! I chose Hertz because you were supposed to be REPUTABLE??? Tried getting someone on the phone was virtually impossible and when I did the result was: No car that I paid for, and a refund that could take up to 10 Working Days to return to my account!!?? Why I could not give 0 start? This company is completely a scam. I rented a car from ********** ** location, waited there about 2 hours to pick up the car, when I drove out the lot about 3 miles out, the check engine light was on, they told me it was okay to drive with a check engine light on, not only that, the gas went from a full tank to half tank within 3 miles, for safety, I went to 3 different location trying to exchange to another car, they all told me they did not have anything available, I had to go to the airport a... read more

I prepaid for a 12 person passenger van 6 weeks prior to the rental to take elderly parents and grand children on a vacation. An hour before I was to pick up the van I was told they didn't have it and they were going to refund me. I asked if I could get a mini van or suburban even though they only held 7 passangers. I was told by the manager I would have to pay $2000 more for that rental. Hertz absolutely ruined our trip.

I used Hertz at San Antonio International Airport in July 2023. They are dishonest and have very poor customer service. They overcharged me and refused to give a refund of the amount. The universal response from all 5 different customer service & billing department employees is “we’re sorry for the misunderstanding.”

Do not use hertz. In ****** over 2 hours in line to get car. Only 1 person at counter and system issues meant every customers credit card was rejected.
