I reserved a rental through a third-party and turned down the optional insurance upgrades. At the hertz location, they still added these charges on, which ended up costing almost as much as the rental itself. I literally paid double for no reason. They are a bunch of crooks.

Im an Uber driver renting through hertz. This company submits charges through your bank with no warning for services which are not clearly explained. There is no in person billing customer service only an overseas call center. They take advantage of people who either dont know better or dont have the time to dispute random charges.

Hertz = parent company for both *********************** from Thrifty - 7/31 -> 8/7 for trip from ******* through the *** region. Coerced into upgrading to a SUV, told we had no insurance because we booked through booking.com (received full coverage with the booking.) encountered flat tire and only a donut as spare (not full size.) Also, found a USED syringe in the spare tire compartment along with a cap to another syringe that we could NOT find. Horrible, they enjoy taking your $$$, and then informing you....you won't be driving the vehicle. Won't ever rent from this company again.

Worst customer service ever. If you pre-book and pre-pay online with a credit card and dont have that credit card with you when you pick up the car - even though they have all the information in their system already- they wont give you car keys. So you have to go to all the other rental car desks in the airport trying to find a car that fits your family of 8 and hope that you can make it to the funeral you had flown 5 hrs to get to - on time. No thank you. I wont work with a company that has so little regard for customers.

Reservation with car for pickup at 8am at the ****************************************************** location. No car available. No one had a car that morning, it seemed that the location did not have any cars. Asked if other locations would have a car since I would be willing to go elsewhere to pick up. Was told - there is no car anywhere else. But don't worry, you will get a car in about an hour they said. Did not get a car until after 1pm. The employees at the place I rented to car from were absolutely unprofessional from the moment I walked through the door. I will never ever rent from here again. Then after dropping off the car I received a letter in the mail saying the vehicle had not been returned. Mind you I dropped it off the night before, so Im not even sure how there would be confusion as to me not dropping off the car.

Don't rent from Hertz in *****.I reserved a gas powerd vehicle when I got there they said they only had an Electric Vehicle.I asked if I could exchange it at another Hertz rental agency they said sure but everyone one of them I checked with only had EVs I guess they fallow the **** Governor of **********'s mandate.If anyone's never rented an electric vehicle let me say it's a ******** waste of your time.
