My family has been coming here for years and this year, everything was drastically different. Everything is run down: Pool was dirty every day; they cleaned it once the whole week we were there, only after we called three times. The WiFi doesn’t work anywhere. The rooms are musty & damp, and the cleaning was less than satisfactory. Even the Boathouse restaurant was highly disappointing, with an extremely limited menu and poor service. We’re looking for another place for our yearly family reunion.

What a beautiful day at the Heidel House! We thought it would be really special to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary here because this is where we held our wedding reception! Despite the fact that it was somewhat last minute, the staff could not have been more accommodating, enthusiastic and organized! They claim to have WiFi, but that’s not true. They claim to have an outdoor hot tub—also not true, it’s actually a 1 foot deep kids pool they claim is a hot tub. Service is shoddy if it ever comes around for meals at the restaurant. We had 2 meals at the restaurant and if you enjoy scavenging your silverware and napkins from other open tables and begging for them to take your order then you’ll love this place. Star, Ryan and Jason were amazing. They never seemed stressed out and were always able to help with any questions. They made our wedding and reception so stress free. Matt who bartender our reception on the 4th everyone loved!!! Such an awesome person also! Thank you for everything. You guys truly worked hard and helped make everyone happy if anything went wrong they tried their best to fix it! We will be back. We have come every year for several years now!!! Thank you!
The view is nice. Location is great. How they get away with the restaurants is a mystery. Any local restaurant with a commitment to good food and service should pitch a takeover, or lean-in to a full ad campaign touting them as a much better food option than the resort. If I had ever made a steak that bad at home, I would refuse to serve it to my family.
We really like This place. Had been here few times and definitely will come again Nice peaceful place, food is good and definitely not over price. We enjoy our stay
We have been coming to the Heidel House for the past few years and will keep on going but...it really needs and update! The rooms are dark, basic. Bed comfortable. No wi-fi this time in our room. Things are just dated. The keep saying they are going to be updated soon.
