The area is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately we entered a room that was quite dirty: toilet paper fragments around the toilet in the bathroom, a LOT of black mold on the shower curtain (which I am highly allergic to and ended up quite sick after two days of exposure), the tub was not cleaned after the last guests, there was coffee dried all over the counter top above the mini fridge, loose change on the floor around the table in the room, and garbage in the garbage can yet. Can a brother get a razor to shave rather than waiting for the gift shop to open tomorrow at 0900 or drive to the gas station? Front desk doesn’t comp shaving or have a vending machine with things you forgot to bring.
I have no regrets rating this place 2 stars based on my experience. I know people that had much better experiences this past weekend, and I wish I could say the same, but our room was absolutely 100% not worth the money we paid. It was dated, the AC was old and did not work properly, it actually didn't shut off once the first night (I'm not overexaggerating) and it sounded like an ice machine was in our room. our bathroom door was too big for the frame, so it didn't shut. Very disappointed in our stay. I actually felt dirty being in the room. There were dead bugs all over the place. We had drywall falling off on us in the shower. We turned the fan on in the bathroom and it smelled like an animal had died in it. Went to the bar to get a drink and the juice tasted like it had been sitting there for awhile. Definitely not worth the money.
What an amazing resort, we had the best wedding there. Star was a pleasure to work with. Can't recommend enough!
