I googled resorts and spas and this was one that came up that was far enough away from Milwaukee that I felt like it was a getaway but close enough it wasn't too far of a drive. I surprised my boyfriend with a night away and it was the best decision of my life. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean and in great condition. The hotel was great beds were very comfy. Food for a large crowd was not the greatest at all. Vending machines was on lower level and there were just pop machines on each floor.
Great accommodations all around. Staff top notch. I believe we had Archie, Judy, and Pam. Scenery awesome!
Had such a great time at Wine Fest yesterday at the Heidel House! Great Wines and the food was excellent too! Can't wait to come back next year!
I stayed there with my mom and sister for a women's retreat weekend. Our room was nice...lakeside view with a patio. They were totally overwhelmed and under staffed for the large groups of people there....a wedding, Lions group and women's retreat. Almost impossible to find a parking space, one bartender/waitress in Boathouse Pub so we couldn't eat there and housekeeping didn't service our room til after 3 and didn't even take care of our beds. Beautiful property. Food was great in the sunroom (breakfast) and boathouse pub (dinner/drinks). Very laid back. Staff is very attentive and accomodating. Everything is available in the resort so no need to drive away unless that's what you desire.There are other eateries within 10 min reach. Even though rooms are a bit dated especially bathrooms the beautiful lake view makes up for it. Only problem I had was the water temperature.
