Awful experience. My husband and I booked the honeymoon anytime package, which really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. We got complimentary massages, which were great and really the only part of our stay that we enjoyed, and a free bag of popcorn. We checked in a little after 4pm and were told we would be in room 207. However, when we got to our room, there was a do not disturb sign on the door and our key cards didn’t work. We stayed at Heidel House while we were in the area ice fishing on some area lakes. The rooms were large and clean,bathrooms were very nice, the concierge staff were welcoming and helpful. Beautiful views of the lake from our room and loved the lobby fireplace. We tried to eat at The Boathouse Pub in the hotel but waiting 15 minutes for service and didn't receive any - so we went downtown Green Lake - very cute downtown area - Goose Island was a great restraunt/pub! Had our wedding reception at Grey Rock Mansion. The room was beautiful, the staff was very attentive, but the fillet mignon was tough and tasteless. Literally the worst steak I’ve had, and that’s hard to do with tenderloin. We had a few guests stay with us at the hotel. My sister and her kids were put into the suite that was supposed to be for my wife and me.
