The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

Location is amazing.....staff was very courteous and rooms were basic but clean....even had a fridge
Old hotel in a great location. We were given a family room which consisted of two room one with a double bed and another with two single beds, each room had a tv and a bathroom. Plenty of plugs and a kettle and fridge in the double bed room. Iron/ironing board also available. We used the laundry there (buy the soap at the gift shop). We also used the safety deposit box available free at reception.
Wanted to be in easy walking distance for my 16-year-old niece's first trip to DC. This was perfect. We took the subway from the train station, walked two blocks and there we were. We could see the hotel sign from the exit of the subway. Good service, nice room and we benefited from a having suite somehow. It was great to fall into at the end of the day. The hotel lived up to its good reputation.
Stayed 5 nights. The Harrington Hotel is a perfect base for tourists, wishing to walk to most of the capital sites and attractions. DC can make your legs cry of pain, and the Harrington is right in the middle if you want to stop during the day, relax and go out again.
We needed a place to stay for two nights while we were in DC. We wanted a resonable price near the National Mall and a room for 5 adults (so no small beds). We got exactly what we needed. The room was spacious and clean with a large closet. There were a lot of choices around for food, from Macdonalds to an English pub type restaurant. We were only two blocks from the Mall so no need for Metro. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were even able to check in early.
If hotel location, safety, cleanness and prize are important to you when choosing hotels, Hotel Harrington is the best. We stayed four nights with Harrington, booked for Double room with Two Double Beds, luckily we got an interconnected room, with two bath rooms, two single and one queen beds, two TVs, great for three of us. I have no issue paying a reasonable price for a basic hotel which is well located. The Harrington fits the bill. Our room on the 9th floor was basic but was cojoined to the next. The kids slept in one room and M&D in the other. We had no problems with space with this set up. No issues with cleanliness, outside noise was nothing out of the ordinary in a major city, the bellhops were great and the adjoining Harry's was great to have a meal and beer. This is a great location for tourism or business at a very competitive price.
I found that the location was great. It's very close to the Metro and to the National Mall, Museums, White House, and other popular locations.
