Hammett House started operations in 1969 after almost 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Mrs. LaNelle Hammett. Now, after another 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Linda and Bill Biard we bring a remodeled, yet similar, Hammett House. Our goals are simple. We want to provide our guests with fine food, expertly served in a restful atmosphere, with plenty of "Southwestern Style" hospitality. Our menu is neither extensive nor expensive, but everything we do...we try to do extremely well!

RecommendedEverything I have ever had at Hammer House has been superb! From the pampered fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried chicken livers, Scandinavian meatball soup and did I mention hands down the best rueben sandwich ever. Wait staff and management are always friendly and professional. The lies will speak for themselves!
Try the smoked cherry ham, Gouda and caramelized apple wrap with a cup of taco soup! You won’t be sorry!!
Chicken fried steak was delicious and the apple pie delight was amazing!

Great food and good service. dessert is a must even if you have to take it home!
My favorites include the hot hamburger, chicken K-bob, and German chocolate pie!! But the menu has lots of good selections.
