Hammett House started operations in 1969 after almost 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Mrs. LaNelle Hammett. Now, after another 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Linda and Bill Biard we bring a remodeled, yet similar, Hammett House. Our goals are simple. We want to provide our guests with fine food, expertly served in a restful atmosphere, with plenty of "Southwestern Style" hospitality. Our menu is neither extensive nor expensive, but everything we do...we try to do extremely well!

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Classic, down home meals, with an upscale feel. Amazing service. Never disappoints. Pies to die for.
Great food, friendly staff. I grew up all around the Claremore area in the 1980’s- 1990’s. I had never eaten there. I was able to treat my wife, daughter, and grandson to lunch there today. The food was great! We will definitely stop in again when we are in the area! Thank y’all for such a great lunch!!!
Yes! Very busy tonight with a large party so we had to wait a bit, but well worth the wait. Delicious!
We celebrated family birthdays in September at the Hammett House. Our group of 18 sometimes has a hard time being accommodated without dividing up our group. Hammett House had no problem with our group size. The food did not disappoint. Everyone was impressed with their meal. The service was outstanding. We were so pleased with our experience.
I live in Alva, but anytime I get to the NE part of the state, I plan my travel around getting to eat at the Hammett House! The food is delicious and the service is top notch.
Always great food and wonderful people! The service is excellent! The prices are very reasonable! And did someone say pie?? It’s a MUST when you visit Hammett House! You won’t leave here hungry!
Loved the Alligator Bites. A little steep on the price for the portion but was good. Everything else was good too.
Just had worst experience! Ordered sautéed calf liver.. came out looking like a breaded chicken fry! Took 40 min to get food! Had already consumed small salad that went with the meal! Couldn’t wait for a recook on the order! They took liver off.. but charged 3.99 for my small bowl of salad! Complained to manager and she did not care at all! Sorry way to run a business! Lost a life long customer.. but obviously they don’t care!
