It's always a very, very nice venue.......excellent food and service! Especially enjoy their fall specials....bygo free with coupon! Always extremely crowded....excellent sign !!!
My favorite restaurant in the state of Texas❤️. They are always spot on.
Somewhat disappointed today especially with the waitress. She could care less about waiting on us. Took my husband for his birthday and as a local we were disappointed....
If you go for the atmosphere and drinks, Gristmill is superb. If you are hungry, the food, especially the steak, will probably disappoint you. This is the second consecutive time we've gone to Gristmill and come away severely disappointed with the food. But again, if you're looking for atmosphere and drinks, you probably won't beat Gristmill in downtown Gruene.
Such a beautiful environment love the outdoors sitting outside eating under the trees feels like a family picnic and the food was amazing I'll be back soon!!
The host was amazing with my curious 5 year old. She wanted to "help" them with the chalkboard & he encouraged her to get up there & cross out names for them. He then hooked us up with an amazing river view table outside on a gorgeous afternoon! What a treat!!! I wish I would've gotten his name bc it was all very much appreciated! 😊
I really enjoyed my visit at Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar .... we had a large party and were well accommodated with not an extremely long wait. The waitress was sweet but better yet quick and got all our drinks and orders done quickly and correctly. I loved the open patio with the pretty natural setting the flower, trees and plants I felt at home .... When I'm in town, we love going here. This weekend, we went to the bar. We sat at a table, the bartender was behind the bar when when he asked for our order. Lucky I knew what we wanted. He gave us our chips/dip and drinks, he never asked if we needed anything else. I needed some water so I asked another bartender at the bar if she could get our waiter. She stated they don't wait tables and asked what I needed. I asked for two ice water, she very rude and referred me to the end of the bar were there was hot water for guests ... read more
