Loved listening to the outdoor band while waited to be seated. The selection of food choices were wide enough to please varying palates. The rack of ribs I ordered were fall of the bone delicious. The dining experience and the ambiance was quaint, charming, and definitely one I will return to. Thank You for a great evening :)

The first time I came here was after a motorcycle ride with about 15 of my friends. Needless to say we waited about an hour and a half which is ok considering they have a massive outdoor waiting area with a full blown bar and a live band under huge beautiful trees and misting fans. When they finally were able to seat us, God bless them, they sat us in the outdoor seating area, under the breeze of the trees with the river in sight. Atmosphere is amazing, they had a great duo playing. We waited a bit to be seated but the music was so great it flew by. Then we had an amazing seat, a great server and wonderful, delicious food.. Did I tell you I loved this place?
This is one of our favorite places to eat in Gruene. The atmosphere is awesome. The staff is friendly and the food is always on point. Even when there is a wait, the outside waiting area and live music make the wait tolerable. Gristmill is a must when in Gruene regardless of the time of year.
