Overseasoned food under dim lights – Grace is a classy, romantic dining experience with generous portions with detail put into their food presentations; yet their entrees (especially the meat) were generally overseasoned and overflavored, lacking the right balance of texture and flavors. The crab salad is refreshing and the day scallops were tender and tasty. The desserts were mediocre and should be passed upon. To be honest, I enjoyed their bread and butter most.
An enjoyable evening! – I chose Grace to have my anniversary dinner based on the high rating of the Zagat Survey. I totally enjoyed it - good food and service and I especially like the decor. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was also having dinner there tonight. It's certainly a good restaurant for all occasions.
My new favorite restaurant! – My boyfriend and I tried out Grace a couple weeks ago, and it was wonderful! We went on a Sunday night, and it was full but quiet. Service was excellent, and we both loved our food. The whitefish was tender and juicy, and the filet was also yummy. Bonus: we sat next to Leonard Nimoy! I will definitely be going back to Grace again and again...
I love Grace! – Grace is a restaurant where you can count on having great dining experience. The service is very friendly and professional, the food is amazing, and the ambience is perfect for anything from a special date to an important business dinner. Everything I have tried there was wonderful! The portions are perfectly sized (not tapas sized like at some LA eateries). And the last time I dined there they gave my boyfriend and me a little box of pastries to eat the next morning (for free). What a treat! I will definitel... read more
Not so grerat! – Heard a lot about Grace. Average restaurant. Not great service.
O-V-E-R-A-T-E-D – This place is horrible! I don't know what the fuss is all about. What's the point of waiting all night for bad service and worse food?
Food yes wine list no – The food is wonderful, but the wine list is really lacking. If you go, which you should, you will find the waiters slow, spaced out, and not knowledgeable with regard to wine. The wine list is dull with only uninteresting new wines, and some oversprices obscure ones to keep you from doubting them all together. So, call ahead and plan to bring your own. it is worth it to pay the corkage.
disappointed... – When I went to Grace I wanted to love it. I had heard such amazing reviews and was really looking forward to a mind blowing meal, but sadly, it didn't live up to my expectations. The food was good but not great, the atmosphere was cool but not amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable (especially about the wine list- which is quite good), but overall, it just wasn't worth it. If you're going to spend the money there are better places in LA.
Dine. Here. Now. – Had the good fortune to dine here twice so far and can't wait to return. The food is excellent. The service professional, but more importantly - attentive. Had the tasting menu and was perfect save one thing... too much food. Not a typical complaint but if you're shelling out for a crafted multi-course meal, you'd expect they factor in the standard capacity of a stomach. Us fine diners don't enjoy wasting food! Delicious neverthess. Don't let that stop you from going.
