Texas is the second-largest state in the United States. It covers more than 268,600 square miles. Spain was the first European power to lay claim to Texas and the state also flew the flags of France and Mexico before gaining its independence in 1836. Texas borders Mexico along the Rio Grande and embraces mountain ranges and canyons to the west; lakes, plantations and pine forests to the east; plains to the north; citrus groves, Gulf of Mexico beaches and low-lying alluvial plains to the south; and rolling hill country and cl... read more

I don't understand why you hate children and want to take public school funds away.. #youmusthavebeenprivileged #supportpublicschools #youheathen #youshouldbeashamed
Governor Abbott you need to call a special session to address school finance and to fully fund TRS as well as health insurance for retirees. You have abandoned retired educators. # blockvote
Governor Abbott claims the Texas Miracle while defunding public education. This man has no leadership ability.
Head of the campaign to dismantle public education and impoverish teachers? I think not. Where exactly would he be without teachers? Probably what he's actually good at...pushing garbage.
Abbott has sat back and let Dan Patrick set agendas such as robbing active and retired teachers and the children of Texas the constitutionally mandated amount of financial support that is due to them. If he had any moral authority to begin with, he has forfeited it by not reining in DP and the other Empower Texans stooges.
I think it is disgusting the way you take responsibility for higher graduation rates in our state, yet you , Dan Patrick, and Cruz have done nothing for public schools or for our retired teachers. You are busy trying to turn education into a money making business. A retired teacher can no longer afford health insurance, they are not able to collect on their husbands social security. You should be ashamed of yourself !!! Our children are going to be left without anyone to teach them. Women that have never worked a day in thei... read more
As a public educator, I am disappointed in our governor and the lack of concern with our struggling school system. Please take a stand and ACT to improve our public schools!
He's invested in destroying public education. #Blockvote
Help our teachers. Their health insurance is horrendous and expensive. Their retirement is NOT livable. A teacher shouldn't have to spend over $1000 a year to supply basics in their classrooms. Some classrooms don't have a desk or chair for each student! This is unacceptable.
