Look at the state of our schools. Look at the state of education. The Republican party used to be about education first, but under Rick Perry and Greg Abbot, it's all about pork projects first. I'm tired of paying my fair share of taxes and almost none of it going to the future of our country, the children.

This state passes a law allowing disabled veterans with the DV plate (as well as other recognized veterans) to not have to pay tolls on Texas toll roads and then you don't FUND the program so most of the toll roads in Texas we still have to pay tolls on. You guys suck with that crap.

Our public school system needs to be done away with. Public school is brainwashing your child. Schooling should be done at home. You as a parent need to to teach your children your values and morals. I would still be doing what I'm doing today without public school and public school did not teach me anything about my skill. Public school is a waste of time and money. If you think your child accels in any area you need to help make it happen it happen for them, don't depend on anyone else. This world and this country doesn't ... read more

It’s high time our governor puts education at the front of his agenda and that doesn’t mean spending more money on testing!

I think it is a travesty what you are allowing to happen to public education. Public education is a constitutional right and it is the state’s responsibility to fund it properly. Instead of wasting millions upon millions of dollars on useless and invalid testing, why not put that money back into our schools to support our future. Education is the basis by which all careers are made possible. As a voting constituent, I implore you to value education more than vouchers and children more than real estate and big business.

You really do not want me to tell you what I think . No stars I am retired with 34 years as a Texas career Teacher. What have you done for me? What have you done for our public schools? Do you have a conscious? Did you receive a public education? Did you thank your Kindergarten and First grade teacher....ever?
