I am a life long Republican, but I am angry due to the failure of most Republicans to support teachers and public education. I will not support any candidate who is pro voucher and subverts public education for all students. The legislature has undermined us for years with mandate after mandate and testing which has no educational purpose. Teachers are fed up and we are researching every candidate and will vote for those that support us.
I would give a zero I if I could. My kids and grandkids deserve better than what you have provided public schools, teachers, and retirees. #blockvote.
As a Texas teacher, I cannot say that the governor (or lieutenant governor) represents me or any of the active and retired public school employees. What is being done to our public schools and therefore, our children, is unconscionable.
