Texas is the second-largest state in the United States. It covers more than 268,600 square miles. We are also public school teachers... my wife and I have been teaching for 20 years and we are sick and tired of the way educators and public education is treated by our elected officials. We have sat around quietly far too long...no more!! Get rid of the ones against us!! Abbott and Patrick are the first to go, then all others who are anti-public education!!!! #Blockvote

Support public education!! Get to work figuring out this mess that y'all have created and fund our schools and pay our teachers. Current and retired teachers deserve to be treated like professionals. Do your job! The future of the great state of Texas is in the hands of teachers everywhere. Don't you want that future to be educated? Please be a leader and fix this!

You are just a party functionary...a robot! I hope that when you sleep at night, all the faces of the teachers that taught you in your childhood haunt you in your dreams and tell you what an epic douchebag you are when it comes to selling out the current and retired teachers and students of Texas. I saw the TRUE face of the Republican Party in 2004 when I tried to seek office. A year later I discovered Ron Paul and Libertarianism..the cure for you and your ilk. If you truly wanted to be worthy of the title Governor of Texas,... read more

I am a life long Republican, but I am angry due to the failure of most Republicans to support teachers and public education. I will not support any candidate who is pro voucher and subverts public education for all students. The legislature has undermined us for years with mandate after mandate and testing which has no educational purpose. Teachers are fed up and we are researching every candidate and will vote for those that support us.

I would give a zero I if I could. My kids and grandkids deserve better than what you have provided public schools, teachers, and retirees. #blockvote.

As a Texas teacher, I cannot say that the governor (or lieutenant governor) represents me or any of the active and retired public school employees. What is being done to our public schools and therefore, our children, is unconscionable. Mr. Abbott has shown a clear disregard for the future of this great state by turning his back on its teachers and children. #supportpubliceducation #blockvote
