I noticed many charges on my credit card from this company. I've never even heard of this company much less used them. When I tried to call their customer service number it was no longer in use. I then attempted to contact them via their website and never received any communication back. A complete bogus company. Luckily my credit card company reversed the charges and locked my account. DO NOT USE GET AROUND, my windshield cracked from what I believe is weather related cracking {we got 24+ inches of snow in Boston } they told me to return vehicle swap it out can’t do that was lied to by an employee once I arrived there I was told to walk home and basically left out to dry unable to rent another vehicle huge headache and this company has given me 4 cars with issues will never use this service again and am actively looking for a lawyer to file a class action against this company huge joke, I have proof of eve... read more

Ever since my first reservation it has been something wrong every time. I’m on my 10th rental currently. I’m Trying to hang on and bear with them because I love the concept of car sharing. I was referred over by **** to use their cars to drive people or to do food orders because, I don’t have a personal vehicle at the moment. I have attempted to use Getaround to work for Uber as per their agreement. I have made a total of 4 reservations, 2 of which were cancelled with zero notice. Today (11/12/2019) they rebooked me with a random different car with different booking times while I was in route to pick up the vehicle. I had to argue with support staff to get a refund, and then they say it will take a week or more to see my money back. I’m a car owner 0n 08/10/19 Getaround damage my car and tell now after I contacted them 100 time. And 100 of e mails not paid for fixing my car also after search and filing a complaint with the State department of insurance I find out the insurance not from the USA it’s in London contacted London office as the name showing on the card thy *** thy don't know any thing so most likely the underwriter is licensed in the state and now I’ll go after the underwriter it will take about a year and I may need to file claim with local ... read more

I was warned many times about using Getaround and because of the low prices I did not listen. DO NOT USE GETAROUND AS A RENTER!!!!! I rented a car, submitted photos when I picked it up, and then returned it in the exact same condition. Later that day, someone ran into the car and damaged the sides and fender. I was charged for the damage. Part of this could have been prevented by taking pictures of the car ONCE RETURNING - a mistake I'll never make again. This company is a joke. Save your time and use **** instead. I rented a car and the owner wanted to cancel. The owner couldn't get a hold of anybody so I had to call myself. After waiting for 40 minutes on the phone I am told that the car has been cancelled and that I will only get $20 compensation. Oh, and in the background they were playing explicit rap songs. I just love listening to "You're such a f****** h** I love it" in the background.

I have been using getaround as a renter and car owner for 30 days. One of my cars got crashed on the first rental, the company was wonderful and said we will take care of everything. 2 weeks later, my car sat in my driveway no progress. Fast forward to a month my car is sitting at a shop and I won’t get it back until September (6-8 weeks after it was damaged) I have reached out more than 15 times (all documented, emails and phone logs with call durations) I constantly get hung up on. I’ve had numerous issues with Getaround since I started using their service but today took the cake. They have a couple of cars located at a hotel that is unorganized to say the least. I arrived at 4AM with no one there to let me behind the lock gate where the cars are kept. Finally, a valet guy shows up and seems discombobulated. I explained to him that I needed to get to the car and begin my trip. Time was wasting.
