So they post that you are able to reserve a car and get on your way immediately but every time that I have, I’m subjected to a 48 hour hold so they can investigate me. The first two times they tell me that I’m approved after 48 hours. The third time I use them, they request I jump through two more hoops, they want me to send them a bill with my new address (but mind you my Driver’s License is updated with my new address) & they want me to send a picture of the front of my credit card. GetAround negative review: I rented a 2018 ******* ****** from GetAround ("Marketplace") on 07/05/2019 in ******, CO from ************ ("Seller"). All I have to say is: never rent from GetAround and their Sellers. You don't know what you are going to get. The car smelled of cigarettes when we opened the doors. GetAround asks buyers to inspect the car before starting their trip. We inspected the car and found minor scratches and a major dent on the passenger side of the car. There's always been bumps to the road. As another owner in my ********group said, "Getaround's problems are more indicative of society than getaround". Their customer service as always been top notch. They've always solved my issues as they've arisen. Sometimes on the slow side, but I did always feel like they were hustling hard to get things done. Overall I'd definitely recommend having your car on Getaround. I've made a ton of money and I feel like they have my back.
This company doesn't respond to customer concerns, complaints or refunds. They send you to email and will not/cannot help you via the phone. I recently used their app to rent a car. The car is supposed to come with a full tank of gas. If or when it doesn't, you report it before using the car by taking a photo and they refund you the gas money and give you an additional credit towards a future rental. Well, they USE TO. Amazing customer service. I was constantly returning cars late and they were never rude and were always willing to work with me. Account eventually got suspended over a bad rent day where I returned car 8 hours late and to the wrong location... and yet I would highly recommend getaround to **** drivers needing vehicle to work... thanks getaround sorry things got so bad...
The most terrible service ever!!!!!! My money was taken out of my account $216 to be exact!!!! No one could help me and o was hung up on and told no supervisor was able to help me . I am a property manager who has a team of people that also operate a call center and this service or lack of is totally unacceptable
