Since the app is still unable to restore access for those who paid $4.99 for the app, before Gaiam launched the subscription-only plan, perhaps you might consider granting temporary free subscriptions for those who are continuing to wait for Gaiam to resolve this situation? Maybe you could offer a code that grants access to the subscription-based model for a few months or that will expire once you resolve the issues with your app? To clarify, a 14-day free trial is not the solution. I'm really frustrated by the slowness that... read more

Business response:

Hi everyone! A few weeks back we released an update that lets you restore your content. If you open the app and click "Start Free Trail," the next screen will have a "Restore" button on the top right corner. Select "Restore" and it will validate your purchase and restore your previously purchased app! Please reach out if you have any other questions.

Won't even let anyone review on the App Store now? Absolute joke. Money hungry, rude and unethical. You've lost me.

Business response:

Hi Jocelyn, I'm not sure what you mean by that. If you own an app you are able to review it on the App Store.

Latest update now forces us to a paid model--even though we already paid for the app? Terrible and very far from namaste for your existing customer base.

A horrible and unethical company that holds paid customers of its Yoga Studio app to ransom for continued access to paid content.

Thieves & con artists. This Company owns yoga studio and they have stolen their members paid content by forcing a paid subscription. Read for yourself by visiting yoga studio

I paid for the yoga studio app and have used it regularly for over a year only to open it and find I'm being asked to pay a subscription fee to continue to access content I've already paid for and custom classes I designed myself. I bought this app based on the customer reviews, if you read the reviews now you'd walk away and find something else. I was so happy with Gaiam that I've purchased other yoga products from the company as well. This is such an unethical way to treat your customers.

I have used and recommended the Yoga Studio app for years, and now I am locked out of content that I paid for YEARS AGO. This is disgusting behavior. Gaiam should have at least given users some warning, or found a way to grandfather access for existing users. Instead they alienated their existing clientele and are rightfully being bashed for it across social media. Y'all effed up.

Business response:

Hi Megan, we understand your frustration and are sorry. We are releasing an app update later this week that will restore content to users who purchased YSA prior to the subscription model change. Thank you for your patience in the meantime!

Placed an order online recently, only to receive an email several days later stating that my order was canceled. Why would you offer a product if you are unable fulfill an order? Nowhere in the email did it explain if a refund would be issued, nor did it offer a comparable alternative. Highly disappointed in the way this was handled.

Business response:

Hi Becky, we are sorry to hear that happened. Let me look into this for you. Can you provide me with your order number? Thank you!
