My father unexpectedly passed away December of last year. I cancelled his Frontier account on December 18th, 2019 and was told I would be prorated for that billing period. In January of 2020 I received a full bill for the previous billing cycle. I spent over 3 hours on a customer chat line in which they finally admitted they had billed me for time past cancellation. Do not sign up with frontier. I signed up at a *** **** with someone and now I am being charged almost $500 dollars for using them for a little less than 2 months. I signed up around the 5th of October 2019 and did not get service until October 31st 2019. They came out to the house and "hooked it up" in early October and then to my surprise I was shut off about 3 weeks later. in early december i called to try to move my lndline service from my home in campbell hall to my new home in poughkeepsie. after an aggravating 10 minutes being jerked around from one rep to another,finally someone said she didn't think that you had service in that area. This company is the worst they cant even keep tract of who they do business with i call them to see were is my equipment is at and they gave me 3 different names that weren't even me
How and why is this company still in business? They lie about what we will be charged for a phone line ($40 over what they told us per month), they have lied about TWO appointments we scheduled with them, saying that our appointment was for the following week, which is absolutely false. Frontier is very difficult to do business with. If I could rate them 0 stars I would have. I've been trying to upgrade my internet for almost 2 months and they keep screwing it up. 1. I called before Christmas to increase my internet speed. I thought it was all set up to have a technician call me to schedule the install however, I never received that call. 2. This is the worst company ever. Our internet never worked so I cancelled our service. They continued to bill me through automatic payments from my bank. I didn't cash the first one but told my bank not to let the second one go through. Now they sent it to collections plus a $10.00 returned check charge. Customer service is useless, I have spent countless hours on the phone with them trying to get better internet, then trying to cancel. If anything goes wrong with your billing or service and you attempt to contact customer services, they will bounce you around dozens of reps, nobody will resolve your problem and they will ask you to provide all your details and re-explain your issues each and every time. They have done this with me for overcharging me 4x in one month and I've never had a refund, and now I'm without service and they've failed to send a tech to my home despite booking appointments.
