If I could give less than 1 star I would. I called to get a quote on a TV bundle, and it was too much money then I wanted to pay. I told them no thank you and went on with my business. A week later I had received TV equipment in the mail, and they charged my account an extra $140.00. When I saw this I called and they saw that I did not want this service. I have been a customer of Frontier Communications since 2017. They stated to have their internet service I must have a land line. which I was charged $34.99 a month before taxes. This phone line was only used to provide internet service. I had no phone but paid for it. Each month I paid my bill in advance of due date and in full. Our business has been a customer with frontier for YEARS!!! Our renewal was in Aug 2019 and month bill was 388.79. Of cause we thought lets just stay and see if we can get a better price.. On July 2019 we were told if we sign a NEW contact 2 years!!! our monthly bill will be $279.94 with tax's. After contact was signed our first bill came in and WOW!!! $811.77.. My internet is out more than it works and trying to jump through hoops to get a tech sent to repair it is like pulling teeth. Last time my internet was out it took over a week to get a tech to come out. Now it is out again and I'm considering just cancelling my service completely because I don't want to deal with the headache that is Frontier.
Forget about trying to get any service expect to be on the phone for HOURS and no results. I've been over charged had my 2 year contract thrown out and charged almost 3 times the promotional price and gotten no closer to satisfactory results
Horrible customer service so we decided to switch to another provider. To amplify my hatred here is how I was treated trying to port out my numbers. 1. Frontier confirmed I could take my numbers to my new provider, which is called a port out request. 2. Frontier then rejected my port out because something called simply frontier. 3. I called Frontier, they said they fixed the issue and I can now port out. 4. Wanted to pay final bill and be done with this horrible provider. Website wouldn't let me and app was on about "technical issues". I don't have checks, very few do now a days. Only option left was to call. They wanted $4.50 convenience fee. It wasn't convenient. I told (Mellisa, employee ID: CD****) that I wasn't fond of extortion. Mid next sentence she put me on hold. Cancelled service was told there was a $10 disconnect fee for internet service and we would be refunded part of the bill we had recently paid. Following month instead of a refund we get a bill for $100. We pay the $9.99 for the internet charge and disregard the rest thinking it to be an error. Next month another bill wife called thought had it resolved. Nope, same thing next two months. Frontier Communications is a 1/2 rate phone / internet provider. I highly recommend not using them if you can avoid them. They have zero accountability to their customers and provide marginal services at best. Their billing is a joke. They will not send you a bill until you’re disconnected from their services. At that point they will give you circles and hang up on you. It’s like breaking up with a clingy date. They go away but return worse as ever. I can’t tell you as a utility how bad Frontier is.
