After approval, this bank (Citizens Bank, N.A.) never closed our loan after working with them for 9 months. They requested the same paperwork again and again, and then the week before, they verbally said we were closing, they requested a change to the blueprint (that was stamped and approved by the county engineering office) and requested our tax returns for the past three years directly from the federal government (they already had two years). They also changed the terms of the loan, stating that the 20-year ****% interest ... read more

Their customer service was always very frustrating throughout the 2.5 years we had or mortgage, BUT selling our house showed me just how frustrating they could be. They sent us a mortgage payoff amount for a certain day, and on that day, the funds were wired to them. A week later, we were told that we were $1300 short on the tax portion and that had to be fixed. Okay no problem, that will be taken care of. However, they also made us pay the extra week worth of interest, even though it wasn't our fault that we had the wrong a... read more

This bank is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. I am still dealing with their ***** reporting on a late payment in 2020 when the person I paid it off to said that was long as I paid it off within 30 day sit would not be reported to my Credit. If you are thinking of buying a car, and citizens is the only option, I highly recommend you get the h*** out of there. This is the worst company, no customer service at all, absolute trash. Typical New England business, rip off the customer every time.

A line of credit was taken out fraudulently with the use of my information. I called them within a half hour of the account being opened. They could have put a stop to of payment to the retailer that was shipping the product out but they did not. They told me this would not go on my credit report which it did. They would not let me freeze or close the account so that it could not be used again. They told me I had to have it open for 30 days and after that I could "request" it to be closed. After requesting that the account b... read more

************** has been a fiasco. They apparently bought out *************** with whom I had 2 loans and a checking account. They sent a rah rah message about the acquisition but never notified me if/when they would be transferring over accounts. The way I found out they took my accounts is that one day I logged into Berkshire and all my accounts read zero value, which was disconcerting to say the least. After I finally figure out where the accounts went and how to access them, they neglect to tell me that my auto-pay was no... read more

This is the most evil bank - yes EVIL -Stack overdraft fees at 40$ each for charges as little as cents over -Will not let you close account, will autonomously reopen your account to a negative balance if a preexisting debit is there -4 hour wait times for a representative -Branch closures - more closed than open (look it up)Ill never trust a BBB recommendation again after seeing that they call RBS citizens an A+business. Lie. Absolutely total lie

I receivbed a letter from this group declinuing my loan request. However, I made no loan request, have no contact with this organizatin. I called and reported it and was they will file a fraud report. Then asked for more personal information. Are they part of the scam/fraud or just poor business protocol?????????
