Do not use this bank for loans. **************** online can't help fix any issues. You are relegated to call and wait a minimum of ******************************* solve any problems that they themselves made for you. Deletes your account after any payments are made so you will no longer have access to older documents if you need it. I would rather pay a higher interest rate than to use a loan from this bank to avoid frustration.

This is the worst **** of America I have ever experience. I have applied for a new account and received the email the account was opened and funded. The initial funding from my other account was deducted then I have received the debit card but when I tried to activate the debit card, it was not getting activated. I contact the customer service and they were not able to locate my account at all with all the info I have provided and asked me to visit branch. This bank is an absolute joke. !!! Do not I repeat do not open a bank account here. They have charged me over **** in fees this year alone. They tell me that all my refunded payments are because the businesses pulling it are refunding them which is complete lies. They never ever let my car payment go through they wait days to let things clear so that you have no choice to over draft then charge you fees upon fees and say well its your fault there wasnt enough funding. I have had a refinance stuck in a black hole with this company since July 5, 2021. Its my current lender as it was sold once I purchased my property. Excuses after excusesand told Im approved then more excuses about delays in processing AFTER they took my money for the appraisal. As of 12/21/21, was told still stuck. Avoid this company as its a total nightmare. No one to complain to, little to no responses. Awful company.

I set up a ***** transfer from my credit union into my Citizens account. Citizens first approved the transfer, then stopped it with no explanation. The money was removed from my credit union and is currently being held up by Citizens. I have no access to it. Meanwhile, the account I was transferring into has a low balance and I'm at risk of bouncing checks. I have called Citizens Bank to try to resolve the matter and regain access to my ***** but haven't received a call back. I'm currently waiting for a customer service rep ... read more

Absolutely the worst banking experience I've ever had. Financed a new vehicle through them. It took 3 months of calling to get them to send me a copy of my title so that I could register the vehicle with my dmv. When I finally got it the title had been created in a different state. After multiple requests to have the title sent to my state's dmv so that they could create a new title they still refused to send it.

Bank and credit card - Online security Citizens bank is one of my few financial institutes that failed to implement 2 factor authentication during online login. I have reported to them many times over phone, in person at local branch and through secure messages over a couple of years, with no effect. In majority of cases, I had to explain what 2FA is!Please avoid, if you respect your online security.

I opened a checking account and after a few months they closed my account without prior notification (zero balance for 60 days it seems, but it is not even in the account agreement). The customer service had no patience as well.

Today go to log on to my Citizens Personal Banking site, it immediately states I've exceeded the number of log attemptes allowed. Called ***************** only get automated options. After 3 minutes of not responding, I'm transferred, I get their default reply "experiencing unusual call volume, you will wait". Finally get a agent in **********. Asks many questions, must now send a message on land line to verify me, I do not have call waiting, he has not other option (can't message my cell) so he cannot help. Ask for a superv... read more
