George, the owner, was very nice to work with. He asked me ahead of time if I was okay with having a tech that likes to talk. I told him yes. However, the guy he sent out (the nicest guy ever), is almost nonstop talk and cannot talk and work at the same time. He was unable to finish the job in one day. Business response:
Cheri's gas furnace and thermostat had taken a hit from a power transient coming thru the line. A triple hit actually, over a about 3 second time frame. Thus first we had to install a thermostat, then a pressure switch then when we ascertained that the RISC chip on her furnace control board was bad, we had to give her a new furnace control board to make her furnace operate reliably.
Allen was very honest and knowledgeable. I will call Fire and Ice in the future for any heat pump issues I have. Thank you!
I was very pleased the timely service and although I hope I won't need them any time soon, I would hire them when the time comes.
This is the second time I have hired Fire & Ice (two different jobs); I will continue hiring them for any work in the future.
Allen was here on time and knew how to address the issue we had with the furnace. He was friendly and very helpful.
The only problem was we had to wait an extra day for a part.Other than that I have no problem with them.I will hire them again if I have to.
They were easy to talk to prior to the job, and I had questions during the job and they went above and beyond to program the thermostat for me via phone.
It cost $99 to tell me that I need to change batteries. Not their fault, it just pisses me off.
Very willing to educate me on how to care for my furnace and suggestions about fireplace.
