I called this company several times to explain a hardship. They are very uncaring unprofessional and downright crooks. I have never encountered a company that doesn't wanna work with their customers to pay off a debt or make the account current. Lesson learned will never use or recommend this company again!

RUN FOR THE NEAREST Exit !!! It would be a NO STAR here -- I have try for over 10 years to have Exeter Remove an old voluntary repo from my credit bureaus, this company should be placed under investigation with the FBI, Fair Credit Reporting Act --- they continue to try to extort money from me, the customer service is not professional and the business is horrible -- they act like thieves -- stay away from this company -- its companies like this that we all should file a "Class action lawsuit" for fraud, mail fraud Stay away ... read more

I got my car in late 2016. My monthly payments were $335 and between me and my mother we paid on time only late on a few payments. But I noticed in 2019 the amazing I still owed was the same as when I first got the car. Which was close to $13000. I called their customer service line several times with no answers. Truly unprofessional organization. I don't even have an account with this organization, nor will I ever. I work in a hospital and have been receiving a call from this organization for a couple months. At first, a person would talk to me and whoever they were looking for did not work with me. I asked them to remove the hospitals number for their contact list. Apparently that didn't work. I then started receiving calls and the caller would hang up once I identified myself. Yes a terrible company...they repoed my friend car and told her if she pay the past due amount it will be reinstated and she can get the car back. Exeter fin gave her the name and number where the vehicle is at called them they longer have it been sent to auction. Now they are giving her the run around. Smh

Exeter finance is a joke. Had bought a vehicle through a used dealer and financed through Exeter finance. Found out I was in the possession of a lemon. During the process of return of the vehicle which took 3 months I was still paying the monthly payments. I had the car from March to July. My very first payment was in March. I got an email of a confirmation number for a payment of $300.00 for the first car payment posted to my account, monthly payment was $347.00. I haven't made any payments yet from my bank account. Terrible Service - I have been trying since June 23, 2022 to get a lien release letter for a car/loan that was paid in full back in 2019. The account is in my sister's name and I was able to get a notarized POA for this vehicle. I send it to them and they just keep ignoring me. They keep telling me the POA is not approved. You can clearly see the stamped seal on the copy I sent to them. Then I was told they have to contact a different department and they only take written requests, no phone calls. This business is more than terrible, they horrible with their predatory/deceptive lending practices. After almost 7 years of making payments, 81 payments to be exact (maturity extended almost 1 year due to extensions) for the amount financed of approximately $8200 dollars when i took the vehicle out of carmax lot in 2015. This company is trash. They do not communicate well with their customers, they do not give honest answers to any questions, they do not provide accurate statements when requested to do so. It surprises me that Exeter Finance Corp has not been shut down due to illegal practices. For this reason, we are actively pursuing a law suit against the company for fraudulent reporting.
