Purchased a ring for a little over $100 a month ago. After 12 days business days I contacted EBTH asking why it had not shipped. The explanation included references to acronyms identifying shipping or inventory systems as the explanation. Eventually I was told by a customer service rep (a pleasant fellow I should add) that the ring shipped. Even an automated confirmation of shipping was emailed with the UPS shipping number. I sent them two signed serigraphs worth an authenticated $300.00 each. James assured me that the bidding ramps up toward the last 5 hours. When the bids were $10.00 and $6.00, I told James I would not sell at that price and asked him to please pull my items. He said they could/would not. I then decided to purchase them back myself until I saw that the shipping would be in excess of $300.00. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. PURCHASED 4 ITEMS AT RANCH MIRAGE CA SALE. EVERY ITEM WAS DAMAGED OR VERY CHEAP/FAKE COPY. I SAW 10 OTHER ITEMS I WAS BIDDING ON AND DID NOT GET. THANK FULLY I DIDNT, EACH ONE WAS DIRTY, BROKEN OR A BAD PLASTIC COPY.BOYFRIEND PICKED UP ITEMS OR I WOULD HAVE REFUSED THEM...VERY UNSCRUPULOUS MARKETING/PICTURES

Standing lamp with a price of about $120 has the shipping cost of $600!!!! For every item we also check the UPS ground. This is ridiculous. It's like shipping a car to Europe. Is this the new way to make money when the items don't bring in the amount? We used to be fans...

We bought a couple of items and they were good price and shipping. However the last item had a misleading shipment price. Instead of the initial $26 we were charged over $150 for an item that cost less than that shipment! When we contacted them about what we thought was a mistake they were rude. Goodbye EBTH.

EBTH is fun way to find and bid on fabulous items. I will admit, I do not win as often as I would like. I have never had any problems. I love everything I have won. The people on staff are friendly and helpful.

The 'appraisers' aren't very bright and are lazy. They left a bunch of higher-end stuff because they were in a hurry to go do things 25 year old girls do. 'Billie Holiday? Who's that? Is he like Hannah Montana's dad?'

I will NEVER purchase anything from EBTH again! I won an item on January 11, and as of April 22 I'm still waiting on delivery. I called to speak to customer service on several occasions and got the run around. These items were purchased for a client's home styling project and I since had to find a substitute because this has taken so long. At this point I'd just like a refund for the items and the shipping charges that I paid for up front...let's see if I get a response. So frustrating! What a scam!

Terrible from a buyers standpoint. I purchased 4 items from 4 different auction. The first item went well, shipping was as quoted and shipped reasonably fast. From there it's gotten worse every time. So much so that I've cancelled my membership. Most recent item was a gold watch that I bid just under $400. Shipping cost was quoted at $15 but it wound up costing close to $500 after shipping and sales tax, taxed even though it was purchased and shipped from out of state and shipping was almost 3 times as quoted.
