In August 2024, I contact Everything But The House (EBTH) as we were moving from the US to the UK, and had a lot of household items we could not take with us, an wanted to sell them. I purchased 10 items prices ranging from 4 to $20 each. Expecting they would consolidate the shipping into one box but nope they charged me $30 for shipping plus extra fees. A $4 pendant ended up costing close to $50. I paid over $350 in shipping and fees on trinkets I wouldn't have purchased had I known this. I had called before anything shipped requesting they ship it all together to save on packaging and fees and they refused. Worst customer service I have ever experienced , do not do business with this company or do so at your own risk , if you think used car salesmen are bad they are saints compared to these individuals . Hang up on you , tell you it is your responsibility to prove them wrong not theirs to prove themselves legit , if they say you have to believe it or get yourself an attorney ! BUYER BEWARE !
Purchased item was not authenticated before sales according to listing , when I questioned the item as being legit they sent me a authenticity card and changed the listing to reflect as much after the purchase had been finalized by 2 days , I requested a third party verify this and was informed it was now my responsibility to have this performed . In September 2021 I purchased item - (ITMG936497) Bottega Veneta Matte Silver Tone Mirrored Aviators from Ebth. An online auction. The item was defective. I bought the item to my local Bottega Veneta store located in Miami to see if anything could be done. They contacted their headquarters in Italy and reported back to me that the glasses I bought were counterfeit. I discovered EBTH a couple of years ago. The site has evolved to the point where it is no longer user friendly. 1. I won and paid for a rug and never received it and contacted the site several times with no response. 2. Chalked up the rug to a one time error and continued using the site. Then the issue was not receiving an item for weeks after paying for it. Missed a couple of birthdays that I bought items for. So, I decided to shop without a deadline. 3. THE WORST EXPERIENCE PERIOD! Why is this company able to STEAL money and do what rhwy want with your credit card? I am still waiting for items that i won over a month ago. I contacted the useless, yes total useless cuatomer service department and their attitide is "how dare you question our business practices". If anyone is interested in a class action law suit against this company, contact me.
