We left our keys inside the apartment due to COVID and property management charged us a month of rent for doing so. We are Hispanic with a high risk health concern. Trying to cover their business shortfalls through their minority tenants.

If I could give 0 stars for Essex leasing company, I would. Terrible policies, horrible property management, the property is filthy and the management staff did little to nothing to prevent stealing and property damage. DO NOT RENT FROM ESSEX.

This is regarding the hillcrest park apartments in Newbury Park, California. An Essex Property Management company Problems are all over. Let's begin with parking issues, trash overflowing, Dirty laundry rooms, giant cockroaches by the pool and in the apartment, old outdated windows. Seems like some tenants are living with more than the allowed amount of tenants. I could continue with more issues but for my own mental health, I will stop here.......

I’ve lived here for almost a year now and it is one of the worst apartment complexes I’ve ever been at. Management is so rude and not helpful at all. When I asked for the corporate phone number Carrie at the front office told me “well you can just look that up” then gave me a fake phone number. The maintenance man ignores emails, the security officer who’s supposed to be protecting the community will forward the calls to voicemail. The living conditions are unsafe. This is regards to MB360 property in San Francisco. During the beginning stages of COVID, i had to vacate the apartment to take care of my family and needed to term my lease without penalty as per the CA government mandate. The closing out statement was sent in which I questioned the charges - the team at MB360 said they would find out if they can waive a portion of the fees. I never heard from them and the bill was not paid - simple oversight on all parties involved, mind you I reached out 3 times to get clarity on the cost... read more
