I love it there I have nothing negitive to say!!! I love the goodie bags of floss and a toothbrush and my sticker of my next appointment to put on my calendar I love the nice people and the facility is very clean
The Staff are great...congenial, engaging, professional, and give top quality service. I was totally shocked when the first words to me at check out were "your insurance is all used up and your charge for today, with the senior discount, is $206.10." We were totally unprepared for this! I might suggest that a patient is told prior to service that his/her insurance coverage is not adequate to cover the expected services....especially at the end of the year (and near Christmas) so that the appointment and service with charges ... read more
We often applaud advances in medicine and for some reason never get around to cheering for a field that keeps us chewing our food everyday...our dentists. Essex Family Dental not only makes your visit pleasant they are well versed in the latest advances and have an office & staff to do "in-house" care for just about everything. 2015 is another time for their office expansion...I am still waiting for foot massages to be added to the offerings!

Dr. Makay is always friendly and compassionate during each visit. He took care of my issue and told me to check back in with any other concerns or problems.
Even though going to the dentist is never fun, the staff at Essex Family Dental make it as pleasant as possible. Their state of the art equipment and excellent and friendly staff make this the best dental practice in Chittenden County. They also have the best hours. Where else can I book a Saturday or evening appointment so I won't have to miss work? I highly recommend them!
From the new magazines, clean and inviting office and comfortable waiting room to the sincerely friendly and knowledgable staff this is a great place to have any work done. The doctors thoroughly explain what they are doing and walk you through everything, even the aftercare. For someone who is squeamish in the chair and especially children. EFD gets the prize for best overall experience in my book.
I had to have a crown and it required an extended amount of work. The staff was superb, as usual. I was completely free of discomfort during the procedure including with the injection for numbing the site by Dr. Feeley. I have no anxiety when I have work done or just cleanings when I go to Essex Family Dental. I also have never had any complications or problems with any fillings or a crown that I have had by them.
Dr. McKay and all of the staff have always been fantastic to work with. When we had an emergency need this weekend we received a call back right away (even though our dentist was out of town)and got the help we needed. A great practice for families with young children.
