I had an appointment for a routine cleaning. This wasn't an appointment I ever looked forward to before going to Essex Family Dental. In my previous experience, I was never told what was going on during the process and it was painful. At Essex Family Dental, everything is explained in detail and in words that ordinary people can understand. Great care was taken to make sure the cleaning was thorough and pain free. Thank you!

Was in third week of flu symptoms and not feeling up to par. Everyone was very nice and concerned and worked as quickly as possible to make this a short visit. Much appreciated!
Took the time to explain in detail my dental checkup questions as well as what I could do to minimize potential future issues.
Called the office yesterday (12/29/14) from California with a painful dental issue. The Office quickly set up a 7:00 A.M. appointment today ( 12/30/14) and within 30 minuteso f my arrival , the issue was resolved!!!!! The pain will slowly go away but it immediately became more tolerable so that it is now possible to work and eat comfortably. Dr. Castellano was very thorough in explaining the source of the problem and its resolution. I have been a patient here since 1979 and have always been very satisfied.

I will always go to this place. The staff is great as well as the doctors. I hate going to have dental work done but they ease my mind and make me feel relaxed.
Cleaning was fine as usual. Everyone jovial, professional and pleasant. But disappointed with the hard sell by hygenist and dentist for the perfect candidacy for an Invisalign. Felt awkward and a little bit "used-car'salesman-like". DO NOT ask me about Invisalign again. I won't be spending my hard earned money on this procedure. Given my teeth alignment, I don't feel or see the need.
