Worst company ever! It's a pure scam! They put 2 claim under my son's name which he was never involved. They would do anything to blame you and either drop you or raise your coverage! I will report them to N.Y. state and report them for fraudulent activities. When I called the claim department they told me that any claim is used against you even if it's not your fault even if your care was parked and someone hit you. So why would I pay over $6000 A year if I'm not allowed to file a claim? This company will come back to get y... read more

Despite proactively calling four different times about my car being at a junkyard in Salt Lake City and how that relates to my being able to get my belongings (the entirety of my belongings) out of it, I never got the truth. Instead, I was told that the car is or would be at the junkyard on Thursday, July 12, 2018. That informed me not only paying for a rental car, but also limiting the rental to being until Thursday, July 19. I asked a State Farm person to add a note to my claim. I thought this would be fine when I made a call asking for the same request previously. I had that belief even more strongly since I on a different call, I had asked that of another State Farm person and they said they made the note. But this representative told me that she couldn't make such a note. Incompetancy is (truly) one thing. (A woman said that I could get communications through *both* email and text when only one option was possible, and then failed to save my phone number as a cell even though we went over that.) However, putting a number that relates to a silly promotion about the Bahamas is something entirely different. That's because the number is supposed to be for calling when it is incorrect that one does not have accounts set up to be viewed online.

I have hail and wind damage to my roof. State Farm acts in bad faith and just sends adjusters out to ignore damage. While CLEARLY my roof needs to be replaced and many roofers have been here and submitted their estimates, State Farm doesnt see the damage. My ceilings are ruined, they dont see that either. If you have a policy with State Farm, you might as well wad it up and throw it in the garbage can because thats what it is worth. Deny, delay, scream, fight, anything but help. Just canceled my renters insurance plan with them after having had to deal with the rude staff for about a month. For the past month they have sent me incorrect bills twice and then finally a bill that was 3 times the amount of what I agreed to pay and what I was told my bill should be. Their reasoning it was so large was because I was paying for 3 months. Still not really sure how I can owe them 3 months worth of bills when I've only been dealing with them for a month. I have been harassed for multiple months by State Farm about the over payment mistake that was made by the State Farm adjuster when compensating me for damage to my vehicle. I followed the instructions given to me by State Farm exactly. I went to the local State Farm adjuster, as instructed, who provided me with a check at the time of the adjustment visit. They had told me that I was good for premium payment of $185 on the 25th, and I ended up receiving a letter on the 22nd that my coverage was canceled, due to a lack of payment of $300+ by the 12th. Which they showed that I also owed $700+ dollars on top of that. I only had the insurance for a month, and had the paperwork that showed my payment requirement and dates.

After getting hit by a State Farm policyholder in a traffic accident I have been unable to get my car repaired. State Farm claims they are trying to reach the policyholder, but they know their policyholder does not want this on their record and has not responded. State Farm uses this as an excuse for not moving ahead with my claim. I would be interested in hearing from others who have been a victim of this scam. The Maryland State Insurance Commissioner may be interested in looking into this.
