Epson printers are absolutely the worst. Unreliable and cheaply made. This is the 2nd Epson printer I have purchased in the last 2 years. I will never purchase anything made by Epson again. The latest purchase was dead out of the box, It would not connect to wifi. I tried calling support and they told me they would call me back and didn't. So, I will take this one back to Bestbuy and get something else.
I purchased a printer from directly from The Epson store (actually I purchased 2). The printer that I bought which was brand new was broken. I call tech support. They assured me they would send a replacement printer. The day the replacement printer was supposed to come. I never did receive it. don't buy an Epson printer--they are now FORCING you to use Epson ink--the printer stops working if you buy remanufactured ink
It is very misleading for Epson to have an A+ review, even more so that you can't even file a complaint with them or leave reviews pretty much anywhere. I am a photographer and a small business order and the amount of **** I have had to go through with Epson is kind of amazing to me. Because the Epson website stated that the Work Force WF2830 All-In-One printer was compatible with Windows XP, which is what I have, I ordered it. When It arrived the outside of the box did not show any XP under compatible but it did show Windows 2003 (SP2). When I researched that I found where that was the same platform as XP and that the printer should function on XP. I purchased an Epson Et 2760 printer at Staples and less than 2 month later a message for update came up on the printer screen after the update the printer became unusable (bricked). Called Epson Tech support and they stated it was a hardware problem and the unit needs to be replaced. I talked to customer support and requested to upgrade to a more expensive unit and they indicated that that is not possible and the unit can only be replaced with the same unit! Amid the Covid outbreak and everyone is forced home including children doing homework at home, Epson decides to send out a virtual bomb to its customers. Perhaps the worst company of the Covid outbreak, Epson decides to force an update on it's millions of customers which will effectively immediately disable your printer even though you have full 3rd party ink cartridges. I purchased a printer that I use roughly 2-3 times a year, totaling less than 10 pages a year. Epson places software that purposes locks out the print unless I pay for additional ink cartridges, even if the current set of cartridges contain ink. The printer locks itself and disables all functions until you purchase the additional ink. I only print a few pages a year, and when I do, it's because I need to print something important. I purchased my first Epson XP-6000 printer a year ago and it has been nothing but disappointing. Aside from the printer using an abnormal amount of ink on every print, the functionality, and overall usefulness of the printer leaves much to be desired.
