Purchased a XP-446 less than a year ago and used only Epson genuine ink purchased from a big box retailer. Worked fine untill there was a firmware update. Then I received a message stating, "Cannot recognize the following cartridges...". Followed online customer support instructions to no avail. Then, call customer support hotline and was on hold for a little over 10 minutes. Bumped to tier 2 support to Brian who told me there was no way to revert or roll back the firmware update basically rendering 60 dollars of ink useless... read more
After updating firmware, the ink cartridges that have been installed and working fine for several months with 85% ink left in them all of the sudden are "Not Recognized". This was clearly intentional and instead of purchasing new ink after this scam shady practice, I am throwing it in the trash and getting a new printer out of principle... Despicable, and the printer has been a POS since day one anyway. It's an XP-430.
I purchased a workforce 7710 from your website Oct 1st. The item was paid for and deducted from my card. I then received an email stating my order had been cancelled for one of the 10 resaons listed in the email. Emailed customer service who then instructed me to call customer service. I got an agent who told me I can't use a prepaid card when ordering.(the money was accepted and deducted already) Said I could expect my refund in 48 to 72 hours. Still no refund. Problem with technician still logged on my computer after the call had ended!!!! Had to call Epson support desk because my printer stopped working gave a code XXXXXX . The first time I called the technician, I felt he was telling me I had a problem with my apple, I was so upset with the call I was not listening and understanding clearly. This printer is the worst for saving money. First it won't print unless all colors are replenished, even black. They say it uses all the colors to make black??? Second, I just bought an ink cartridge in March only to print 10 invitations for my daughters party, it's May and now I don't have color, it didn't say that even after I printed the invitations, it's brand new! I purchased an Epson WF-3720 printer and did not see the small print on the box indicating that the printer uses some color ink when printing in black and white. Unfortunately, I discovered this when I wanted to print in black only. The printer gave a message that some color ink was low/empty and at least initially it still allowed me to print in black only. I purchased a scanner ES300 from them in January 2019. It was defective. They sent a new one that was worse. Epson told us to keep the original, send back the replacement after the second replacement arrives. When the third replacement came, I sent back the second replacement as directed with the shipping label via FedEx. So, now I've sent back the first replacement, have the second replacement, and the original defect. I have kept the original defect per Epson because they want to make sure I have a viable replacement first... read more
I cannot figure out how to use this Epson XP-446. Instructions are massive and not helpful at all. EPSON.COM lists no easy email contact. I am so sorry that I purchased this piece of garbage. I will NEVER use anything from EPSON again. Absolutely ZERO customer service interest. All design should be intuitive, not relying on insider knowledge, otherwise it is theft, plain and simple!
Epson workforce printers ate expensive and just don't work. They are useless and only cause frustration. BBB should stop this company from ripping off Americans.
