Been there twice, and is been two different experience, is just great a texas treasure.
Went on Christmas for the 1st time with family and we loved the experience and will definitely be back.
We loved it!!!!!! It sure was a great experience. The weather was great and we sure enjoyed it!
I couldn't have named it better myself. It really is enchanting. Well worth the visit; can't wait to come back and camp here.
A beautiful State Park just north of Fredericksburg TX. The climb is simple and can be accomplished the whole family. There are areas for camping and lots of additional trails for exploring. My only complaint is that dogs are not allowed on all of the trails, which seems like a very arbitrary restriction. Specifically, dogs cannot go on the hike to the top. It was absolutely fun when I went yesterday, definitely go at a time where there isn't a lot of people. It was very nice outside as well! An awesome workout too!
Fun to explore the hills next to the actual enchanted rock...tons of cool nooks and crannies to find.
Get there early! Drove an hour and a half to get there before 10am, then sat in a car line for 30 minutes only to be turned away because parking was full. �
I go once a year and never see the same thing twice. Get away from the main summit traffic (loop trail) and you will be blown away by the natural beauty of the land. The summit is worth it too however. My favorite place is Moss Lake.
