Quite a hike but we made it! Definitely worth the effort to make it to the top.
Reservations are pretty much mandatory since it fills up so quickly and you can't even make reservations there while you're waiting to get in. There is no internet so we ended up driving back to town, making an online reservation , then hanging out for hours until we were able to get in.
