Very exciting to learn that you can go online and reserve and purchase an Entrance Permit, which guarantees you a spot for the time and date that you pick. This can be done up to 30 days in advance.
Get rid of this reservation system. Absolutely trash whoever implemented it. Apparently all state parks are moving to it. Terrible.
Beautiful scenery! Great hiking 🥾 can explore things like what I call buttcrack rock 😂, the picture perfect formation and look for the metal bit that is the official summit!
My first time to this park but I wanted to go every since I missed my 8th grade field trip there because I forgot to turn in my permission, lol. Worth the drive, well the fossils and rocks were pretty awesome and there are many places to climb and take pictures along the way. Go if you get a chance for sure.
