The staff was wonderful. Our min pin Tinker was acting very strange last night so we took her here for evaluation. The vet was very thorough and discovered an irregular heartbeat and fluid in her lungs. We were able to take her home with the addition of two new medications. Our vet reviewed everything today and agreed with the diagnosis and treatment. I would use them again if needed. It is expensive, but worth every penny to my husband and I.
The staff was very professional, friendly & everything was very clean. Our great aunt unfortunately lost her best friend which happened to be a tiny 7 year old Chihuahua. The vet and staff worked on Izzy (her toy Chihuahua) for several hours and then were very patient with our great Aunt when they gave her the opportunity to say goodbye. They then wrapped her and put her in a small, cardboard casket with the flowers on top. They also made a paw print keepsake of clay with her name on it for our our great aunt to take home wi... read more
Because so many have text about Cricket... She is finally home now after 24 hours and two vets later. The guys at Farmstead Veterinary Medical Center were able to get her blood count back up into a normal range. She's still weak but will take meds for a few days to get her strength up. Surgery for internal issues will probably be in her near future. I am very very disappointed in Emergency Specialty Animal Medical Center in Birmingham on Acton Road. I went there only because it was after hours for my vet and that was the eme... read more

The dr came in & said oh she has hurt her leg which has then caused some pain with her back & thats why she cried out. He said ahe didnt die thqt night she just passed out but we knew what happened. He gave her a pain sho... read more
Dr. Laura Edwards took such great care of our Ferret Apollo, after a bad encounter with one of our foster dogs we thought for sure we were going to loose the little guys eye or worse! But Dr. Edward did such a great job stitching up his eye that you can't even tell he even had one of his eyeballs hanging out. We can't thank you enough !
I truly regret having to give a negative public review of this business, but it is necessary. A week ago, a newborn baby deer wandered up to my home and was in distress. With no sign of a mother, my only choice was to take the baby in and nurture her until I could find the best and most appropriate place to take her. So for a solid week, I bottle-fed her every 2-3 hours, helped her pee and poop, and ultimately cared for her 24/7. A bond was formed. She did great, gained weig...Continue Reading
