Due to some recent wind storms, the ridge caps on the top of the roof was blown off / missing. The roof is old, but still in decent shape. Unfortunately it did not survive the wind storm. Todd was able to quickly send someone out to take a look and was able to repair it the next day. He quote and was ready to charge me 1/3 of what M&H (another Angi contractor) quoted me, and said if I end up buying a new roof, he will just waive the repair fees. I did end up getting a new roof because the current one is about 25 years old.
Do not use this company! They did not install flashing or an ice barrier but simply used tar paper, and in the PNW that is NOT GOOD! They did not use louver vents just put tar paper up to them. Then they used the WRONG shingles! And to boot, they DO NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY! But they are more than happy to give you a great rate to fix their mistakes! Sure, everyone is super nice, until you try to address LEAKS. And we did question the workers skills when none of them knew how to reinstall the skylight! This business is accredi... read more

Todd and Jim are the coolest roofers ever. I was on a tight schedule to get the roof leak repaired and they were truly a godsend. If you want your roof replaced / repaired you can call any roofer, but if you need a friend who is honest, works hard, and cares for your family & property and happens to know all about roofs, call Emerald State. Todd & his team were great to work with. Had them complete multiple jobs-fair price, good result.
From the start Todd and Jim were terrific to work with, getting the estimate, e.g., and their explanation of the work they would do was excellent. They kept me informed throughout the project with aerial views. The work crew were very efficient and professional. They cleaned up the area daily. Very pleased I chose Emerald State to replace my shake roof.
