AVOID AT ALL COSTS AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Something is very wrong with this building. We were constantly sick when we lived here. The water will make your eyes burn when you shower, and good luck having consistently hot water. There are constant water leaks and pipes bursting, which is what ultimately led to us breaking our lease. We had water seeping into our walls and carpet from a burst pipe for hours before they shut the water off. Then the only solution offered to us was one fan underneath the carpet. Spacious units in a wonderful neighborhood I've lived here 3 yrs and am very happy at Ellicott House. The Forest Hills neighborhood is very upscale and walkable with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The bus stop is in front of the bldg and the red line is 8 blocks down Connecticut Ave. The bldg has a nice mix of retired professionals and young people. Slum Lord Living Rodents, bugs and mold. Do not move here. The price is way to high for what you get. Leaks all over the building and these people don't understand DC law.
Verified Renter Although not a modern luxury bldg, the units are large and there is a laundry room on every floor. Very walkable neighborhood with stores and restaurants close by. This is a rent controlled bldg and utilities are included in rent. There is a bus stop right outside our doors. I would rate it at 5 stars except that we do have hot water issues from time to time.
