Beautiful, classic & just lovely for photographs!!
Beautiful, classic, elegant. Lovely vintage room with high ceilings, cozy bed linens and stunning bath. Bar was energized with people on Saturday night and the Batini (Austin's official drink according to the Driskill)was a beautiful, delicious drink. The 1886 Cafe was a hive of activity on Sunday morning. Lots of patrons, excellent service from Mike and terrific food. Excellent property and would stay there again. FYI, valet parking is $40. Very pricey.
I love this Hotel . The service ; history ; ambience is memorable . I stay here when I go to Austin . I would recommend to all for a lovely experience .
Called to get a room and they quoted a price over the phone as there were no rooms left in the block. I said I would call back in 15 min as I had to check another hotel and the guy at the reservation desk said he would be there for another 3 hours. Called back less than an hourly later and he was conveniently not there now and I was supposed to get a call back so I left my name and number. This hotel has character, and is a nice place to stay, centrally located in downtown Austin. The staff is courteous and helpful. I'd return.
Loved staying in this historic hotel, loved the bar/lounge area with the live music! Also enjoyed having the delicious breakfast options like the fresh goat cheese and spinach omelette!
Perfect for a few drinks before dinner or walking 6th street. Love their Batinis!! Great service. Pricey though.
