From the valet to the kind folks behind the desk the staff was first class. We had a 7 month old that needed a fan to sleep, it was in the room when we arrived with just a call. The room was clean & lovely...but the beds are out of this world from the mattress firmness to the amazing sheets and super pillows it was great all around. The halls are lined with beautiful painting and shadow boxes with unique treasures, antique furniture and book cases with a random assortment of books.
Bar is great. Amazing art and sculptures. Historic ambiance is palpable. The queso leaves a lot to be desired, especially for Austin.
Attended the Holiday Tea with my daughter. What a wonderful Event and a great way to start off The Holiday Season. Their Christmas Tree was beautiful, all the goodies were delicious, Greg pampered us. It's our new Christmas tradition...
Was only in for one night on business and thought the room accomodations were wonderful. Will stay here again in the future for personal travel.

I thought the staff at the Driskill was great. We were in our rooms within 5 minutes of walking through the doors with our luggage already waiting on us. The hotel had a vintage feel, and their rooms were small but comfortable and clean with really tall ceilings! Ask the front desk for a listing of all of these supposed haunted areas of the hotel.
Booked a room for a weekend getaway, the staff , hotel everything is amazing, already had a room asked about the haunted 5th floor and was immediately given what we asked for, the bar, restaurant , history and the room was all great! Will definitely be back and The Driskill is the only place I will stay at in Austin.... And if you stay at the Driskill hopefully you get the chance to work with Tucker, the man went out of his way to accommodate and suggest things to do at the hotel and in Austin!
The bar was beautiful, comfortable, and the drinks menu was quite nice.
What a spectacular place for a wedding celebration. The staff were outstanding and always on top of things. Very historical and great location to downtown Austin / 6th street.
