Don't leave anything in your car. Valet riffled through my truck and stole several items.
Initial experience was less than great. Somehow there were no hotesses for the upper diner nor at the cafe. Though once sat at a table it got much better. Aaron our server was prompt and gave great advice to the menu. Never let our glasses empty and really made it a great evening. Great prices and superb dishes to match. Clean and bright.
Had a great weekend, the place was fabulous. I have never seen a hotel room ceiling so high, the chef tickled our palette, and the staff was just great. Nice weekend overall.
My Birthday Party at The Driskill Hotel was a wonderful experience. It was my Eighteenth Birthday and most of my Texas Family was there to share it with me and each other. So special. The hotel is beautiful, like a step back in time. The staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating. The food was exceptional, everything was prepared and presented to perfection. Thank you all for a wonderful special Birthday with my Family.
I am glad we didn't stay! Really unhelpful customer service. We booked for 3 nights (Oct 6-8, 2016) on Oct 1, and then ended up cancelling on Oct 3. While the reservation details said full refund for cancellation, they charged us full amount! And when I called them Sat am, they were completely unable/unwilling to help resolve this.
The only place to stay in Austin. Elegant, still stylish and full of personalty. No wonder LBJ hung out there...
