Sometime this year, 2010, I had some worrisome discomfort in my lower left teeth. On Friday, Dr. McCarthy could find no problem but gave me his phone numbers if the discomfort got worse to call him over the weekend. He phoned me Sunday and by then all was well and still is well. Since he did nothing but hold my nervous hand, he said there was no charge. I could not recommend him more highly. I have recommended Dr Mark X. McCarthy for many years to many people. My family switched to Mark based on a friends recommendation years ago. 2 of my now adult 3 children are adults and still go to see Mark. The 3rd does not but he lives in Japan. Dr. McCarthy and his entire staff are professional, courteous, and friendly. I used to dread going to the dentist until I started going to Dr. McCarthy's office. He explains the procedures and my visits have all been painless. I trust his ability and judgement regarding needed treatments. I will continue to recommend him to anyone seeking a dentist.

Dr. McCarthy is the best dentist I have ever met. I had a terrible toothache and the office was able to get me in immediately and get me out of pain, as a new patient. He is very thourough and only sees one patient at a time, so you get his full attention and the work gets done quickly and pain free. I have had 2 root canals and they were not painful. I always hated going to the dentist until I started seeing Dr. McCarthy. It was no longer scary. He is incredibly friendly and good humored. The painless treatment and procedures can't be beat! Dr. McCarthy has an extremely positive, supportive personality. He is an excellent dentist and seeks to put anxious patients at ease. His prices are extremely reasonable for the St. Louis area and his receptionist provides you with a detailed receipt for all the services rendered, so you can submit it to your insurance company.
