I've seen Dr. McNerney several times over the past few years. I am always very impressed with the care I received. Dr. McNerney explains things clearly, is very efficient and knowledgeable and has a great office and staff.

I initially had an office visit with Dr. McNerney to review my history. I was then scheduled for my Colonoscopy. I was informed on what to expect and the prep I needed to do prior to the day of the procedure. On the day of the procedure, I was checked in and taken back to the procedure area. Everyone working there was friend, efficient. I had my IV started and I was taken back to the procedure room. Dr. McNerney came in, again explained what he was going to do. The procedure went very smoothly, and it was over in about 20 mi... read more

I was scheduled for a colonoscopy with Dr. McNerney. The staff was responsive and courteous from the initial contact to schedule, through registration and checkout on the day of the procedure. Excellent nursing care throughout. Dr. McNerney was wonderful. This was my second procedure with him and I have had excellent care and follow-through. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

As for the doctor's staff in pre-procedure/procedure/post, they were excellent! They were all warm and friendly and made sure you were comfortable and understood what was going to happen. Outstanding team!! As for my procedures, they went well. Dr. McNerney filled me in on what he saw in between procedures. Nothing found thank God! Now for the front desk! OMG. I worked for many years at the front desk and always took pride in making sure that each patient felt welcomed when they arrived. The women working that day, didn't ev... read more

I had two visits with Dr. McNerney, the second for a colonoscopy. Both visits were very positive. Dr. McNerney took the time to explain everything I needed to know. Dr. McNerney spoke with me before and after my procedure. Before, he explained everything he would be doing and the reasoning. He answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. After I awoke from sedation he explained what he had done, and his findings. He gave me a report which included pictures taken during the procedure. I found the office staff and surgical... read more

I was referred to Dr. McNerney for a colonoscopy. His practice is large, but could not be more efficiently run. Everyone on the staff, and there are many, was very nice and very professional. Dr. McNerney himself was also efficient, and while this procedure does not allow for a lot of bedside manner, he seemed very nice. Overall a great experience, if that can be said about a colonoscopy.

I have been having GI issues since my colon surgery. When I moved to Tucson, I decided to see a specialist. I have a complex medical history. In other states, GI physicians saw me in their office. Here you see a NP in the office who doesn't examine you. She records your answers to questions and recommends a colonoscopy. The procedure is performed in a separate suite inside the GI building. The day I was there the staff seemed very disjointed. They were complaining patients were arriving late for their procedure. I was there ... read more

This was my first colonoscopy with Dr. McNerney. I was not able to meet him prior to the surgery and really do not even know what he looks like even though he did talk to me just before surgery. Mask and all. But, in the end, I guess he did a good job. I had no pain and he removed a polyp. Just waiting to hear the result. I did get a call from the surgery center the day following to see how I was doing. If I could change anything, I would have liked to have met him in the office when I first went for my appointment instead o... read more

I was very apprehensive about undergoing a colonoscopy; however, the team of medical professionals who greeted me at Tucson Gastroenterology Institute/Specialists were extremely kind, reassuring and dedicated to making my experience a positive one. Then, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. John McNerney; he took the time to explain the procedure to me, to provide options for being able to view the procedure, reassured me, and put me at ease about the process, the findings, and the recovery. Dr. McNerney even managed to inject ... read more
