This was my first colonoscopy with Dr. McNerney. I was not able to meet him prior to the surgery and really do not even know what he looks like even though he did talk to me just before surgery. Mask and all. But, in the end, I guess he did a good job. I had no pain and he removed a polyp. Just waiting to hear the result. I did get a call from the surgery center the day following to see how I was doing. I was very apprehensive about undergoing a colonoscopy; however, the team of medical professionals who greeted me at Tucson Gastroenterology Institute/Specialists were extremely kind, reassuring and dedicated to making my experience a positive one. Dr. McNerney and all of his staff displayed outstanding professionalism in every manner. Very polite and attentive. Wished I had gone to him for my previous procedure.
I have been seeing Dr. McNerney since approximately 2006. He has always been attentive to my concerns and when performing a procedure made me feel comfortable and well cared for. His on site procedure clinic is well run and patient friendly. The "complaint" I have is it seems like his staff do not respond to the on line Patient Portal. Why have it if its not a tool for patients.

Dr. McNerney has a great "bedside manner" which helped me feel comfortable during a doubleheader (colonoscopy and endoscopy). All the staff were friendly and helpful.
I had a Colonoscopy 5 years ago and needed to have another this year. I did not like the doctor or the facility I went to the last time. My husband needed to have his done and our General Practitioner gave him a referral with Dr. McNerney and after his procedure I was allowed in.
