I have been a patient of Dr. McNerney's for years for routine colonoscopies and today an EGD for heartburn issues. Both he and his staff are very caring and calming. His surgery center for the procedures is located right in his office with lots of staff. I have nothing but rave reviews for he, his staff and his care.
Well I have! Don’t get me wrong, it was still a colonoscopy, but from the time I arrived to the time I was escorted to my ride home, I was encircled with kind professionalism. Dr. McNerney patiently answered each of my questions before, during and after the procedure. He was reassuring and patient throughout my experience. I know that no one looks forward to a colonoscopy, but this was probably the best experience I have ever had with this procedure. Thank you!
Scheduled a routine colonoscopy (every 5 years). Doctor sent a referral, scheduling was easy. Instructions were clear. Office called the week before and review all the requirements. I've had a number of procedures before, the prep was a bit different but it make sense. DR McNermey met with me prior to the procedure and explained the process. Also a bit different in the way the anesthesia would be administered. Quicker recovery. He discussed the findings, gave me the report and I was released. Very Happy with a somewhat uncom... read more
Dr. McNerney and his entire staff were very professional. They each took the time to introduce themselves, explain what they would be doing, and offered to answer questions--which was done in detail. The procedure itself was painless, and even rather interesting. (Now if they can just do something about the imposing gallon of laxative!)
He is very warm and friendly, explains things thoroughly.
caring physician, excellent staff, excellent facilities
This would be a 5 star review except for the somewhat cavalier attitude towards masking by a number of the staff in the preparation area. I saw 3 or 4 of the staff with their masks either below their noses or down on their chins. With new Covid cases averaging over 300 per day in Pima County, I thought this was highly imprudent for medical professionals. Dr. McNerney himself was great.
Dr McNerney and all the staff are the best that I have seen at any facility of any kind. Organized and efficient. My procedure went just like clockwork and I got a printed copy of my test results. A staff meember even walked me to the bus stop and wait for the bus to come and get me.
For one of the more unpleasant things one must do from time to time, Dr. McNerney and his staff were prompt, pleasant and efficient. From arrival to walking out the door it was an hour and twenty minutes, with full report in hand.
Dr. John J. Mcnerney Jr, MD has a 4.7 star rating with 524 reviews.
