After several years of extreme pain in my right shoulder, I finally pulled the trigger and looked for a surgeon to do the total replacement. After much research, I chose Dr. Thompson. I wish I'd had it done sooner. The pain I'd endured for years is finally gone and my range of motion is vastly better. Dr. Thompson was very professional and fully explained my x-rays and MRIs, as well as the procedure and what to expect. I am very satisfied with the outcome.
Actually not poor, nonexistant! I would recommend NO one to this doctor. He really did a sloppy job on my hand and I've since had to have surgery on it by another doctor to repair the damage. Thompson has a GOD complex, will make you believe he is perfect. Actually he is a perfect jerk! I tried to question a procedure and he informed me HE was the doctor with 30 (or whatever) years experience and I should just trust him. Unfortunately I did! Stupid me! Don't be me.....don't trust him.
Terrible experience, Dr. Thompson ignored my symptoms and told me to “ice on it” and take some Tylenol. Sorry, osteomyelitis isn’t treated with ice. Gross negligence on his part. I spent a month using ice and Tylenol as directed by Dr. Thompson, while my life slipped away. I’m immensely lucky that I gave up on Dr. Thompson and walked into the hospital.
Doctor a Thompson is a gem
I went for a second opinion to Dr. Thompson as the first specialist I saw spent 5 min with me, didn't look at my hand, just the x-ray told me to go home and take ibuprofen. Dr. Thompson looked at my hand, did some testing and explained in detail what could and shouldn't be done for the pain. He is a kind and caring doctor which unfortunately is hard to find. I highly recommend him.
Compares his work to God (literally). He did three surgeries on me and all had to be redone. Beware, would never recommend.
Dr Thompson performed a Reverse Right Shoulder Joint Replacement on 2/28/17 and it was a wonderful experience. Such a caring and highly skilled surgeon. I drove 1 1/2 hours to his office and it was definitely worth it. I would consider him again if additional surgeries requiring his expertise was needed.
I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Thompson. Besides his surgical outstanding skills, he is very personable, speaks in terms that are easily understood and is very funny and outgoing. His staff is also top flight. Thank You Doctor.
Dr. Thompson is a fantastic Dr. He has great bedside manner. He listens to you and answers all your questions and in terms you can understand. He is very compassionate to how you are feeling. There aren't many doctors left like Dr Thompson. I recommend him to anyone who needs a hand, shoulder or elbow procedure.
